As a Korean American adopted from Korea, my journey has been shaped by rich cultural experiences and the breathtaking landscapes of the Pacific Northwest, where I grew up. This unique background instilled in me a deep appreciation for artistry and a strong sense of identity, influencing both my personal life and my career. The vibrant surroundings and diverse communities of the Pacific Northwest fostered my love for the performing arts, allowing me to explore my passions from a young age.
Over the past 23 years, I have had the incredible opportunity to work as a professional performer with some of the most iconic artists in the music industry, including Celine Dion, Cher, P!nk, Madonna, Rihanna, Prince, and Cirque du Soleil. Each collaboration has been a remarkable learning experience, allowing me to refine my craft and embrace different artistic styles. The thrill of performing on stage and connecting with audiences worldwide has been a driving force in my life, fueling my desire to express emotions and tell stories through movement and song.
However, my journey goes beyond the stage. As a parent, I am deeply passionate about being a positive role model for my daughter. I want to instill in her the belief that with dedication, commitment, and effort, anything is possible. I aim to demonstrate that resilience and hard work can lead to extraordinary achievements, regardless of the challenges we may face. Writing has become an important outlet for me, allowing me to reflect on my experiences and share insights that I hope will inspire not just my daughter, but others as well.
Through my writing, I explore themes of identity, perseverance, and the power of dreams. I believe in the importance of storytelling—both personal and universal—as a means of connection. By sharing my journey, I hope to empower others to embrace their own paths, pursue their passions, and believe in their potential. My commitment to being an example for my daughter drives me to live authentically and passionately, showing her that life is an extraordinary adventure filled with possibilities.
In every aspect of my life, from performing to writing to parenting, I strive to embody the belief that with dedication and effort, we can create our own destinies and inspire those around us. My hope is that through my work and example, I can contribute to a world where dreams are nurtured and everyone feels empowered to pursue their own unique journey.
